We combine expert care with a genuine, personal approach. Whether you’re an elite athlete, a weekend warrior, or just looking to stay active and pain-free, we’re here to help you move better, feel stronger, and perform at your best.
We have extensive experience in sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy, with a focus on knee and shoulder injuries, running injuries, and surf sports injury prevention and performance. Our team has worked at the highest levels of elite sport, major surf carnivals, and everyday injury management, so we understand what it takes to support recovery and performance across all levels.
We take time to understand your sport, training load, goals, and the specific demands on your body. No two injuries are the same. Our assessments are designed not just to find out what’s going on, but why, so we can treat the cause — not just the symptoms.
Once we understand the full picture, we’ll work with you on a clear, personalised plan. We’ll explain your diagnosis, walk you through your treatment options, and map out your recovery so you know what to expect at every step. Our goal is to help you get back to what you love, stronger, more resilient, and with the tools to stay that way.
At SurfEdge, you’re more than a patient. You’re part of the team.

Musculoskeletal physiotherapy focuses on the assessment and treatment of pain and dysfunction affecting muscles, joints, bones, and connective tissues. We provide evidence-based care to help you recover from injury, manage ongoing pain, and improve your movement and function.
Whether it’s a niggling shoulder, lower back pain, a stiff neck from work, or discomfort that's affecting your sleep or training, our goal is to find and treat the root cause, not just manage the symptoms. We start with a detailed assessment that includes a physical examination and a discussion of your history, lifestyle, and activity goals.
Once we understand what’s going on, we’ll create a treatment plan tailored to you. This may include joint mobilisation, soft tissue therapy, massage, dry needling, and a targeted exercise program to build strength, restore mobility, and prevent flare-ups.
We also believe in giving you the knowledge and tools to stay well. Whether you're returning to work, sport, or daily life, we’re here to guide and support you through every step.

Our sports performance services are designed to help athletes move more efficiently, train smarter, and reach their full potential. Whether you're preparing for a major competition, chasing a personal best, or looking to take your training to the next level, we’ll help you build both the physical and mental edge needed to perform at your best.
We assess movement patterns, biomechanics, strength, mobility, and sport-specific demands to identify areas for improvement. From there, we develop a personalised plan that may include mobility work, strength and conditioning, load management, and targeted neuromuscular training.
We also incorporate Brain Endurance Training (BET), which helps improve mental resilience, sustain focus, and delay fatigue during high-intensity performance. BET is particularly valuable for athletes in physically and mentally demanding sports.
Whether you're a junior athlete or competing at a high level, our goal is to support your development, reduce injury risk, and give you the tools to train harder, recover better, and perform with confidence.

Recovering from surgery can be challenging, but the right rehabilitation makes all the difference. We provide structured, evidence-based post-operative care to help you regain strength, restore movement, and get back to doing what you love as safely and efficiently as possible.
Our rehab plans are tailored to your surgery, your goals, and your recovery timeline. Whether you've had a knee reconstruction, shoulder stabilisation, spinal surgery, or a fracture repair, we’ll guide you through each stage of rehab with clear direction and ongoing support.
We focus on reducing pain and swelling, restoring joint range and muscle strength, and gradually rebuilding function specific to your lifestyle or sport. We also work closely with your surgeon and medical team to ensure your recovery stays on track and aligned with surgical protocols.
From early-stage recovery to return-to-sport testing, we’re here to support your progress every step of the way.

We understand the strength, control, and dedication it takes to transition safely onto pointe. Our pre-pointe assessments are designed to support young dancers, their teachers, and families in making informed decisions about readiness, with a focus on performance and injury prevention.
Each assessment includes a detailed review of dance history, current training load, and any previous injuries. We assess strength, flexibility, motor control, balance, alignment, and technique through a series of dance-specific tests and observations. This helps us identify any areas that may need further development before starting pointe work.
We work closely with dance teachers and use our clinical knowledge to support each dancer individually. After the assessment, we provide a written report with our findings, recommendations, and a personalised plan. This may include targeted exercises to build strength and support continued progress in the studio.
Our goal is to give dancers the tools they need to feel confident and prepared. With the right support, the move to pointe becomes a safe and exciting next step in their dance journey.

Our running assessments are designed to help you move better, run smarter, and stay injury-free. Whether you're coming back from injury, chasing a PB, or just getting started, we combine clinical expertise with real-world experience to support your goals at any level.
We go well beyond surface-level observation. Each assessment looks closely at your running mechanics, injury history, training load, and overall physical condition. Using video analysis, strength and mobility testing, and movement screening, we identify inefficiencies or imbalances that might be causing pain, holding you back, or increasing your injury risk.
These assessments suit both competitive and recreational runners. Whether you're working through an ongoing issue like shin splints or Achilles pain, or returning after a stress fracture, we’ll tailor a plan to your needs. Our physiotherapists are trained in running-specific rehab and performance strategies, offering advice that’s practical and evidence-based.
With movement retraining, strength programs, and simple technique cues, we’ll give you the tools to run more efficiently and with confidence. Our goal is to help you stay strong, run well, and enjoy the distance.

Vestibular rehabilitation helps people manage symptoms like dizziness, vertigo, and balance problems that often stem from issues in the inner ear. Conditions such as BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo), vestibular neuritis, and labyrinthitis can affect your ability to move confidently through daily life and stay active.
We start with a thorough assessment to understand your symptoms, medical history, and how your balance and coordination are affected. This includes clinical tests to check your eye movements, head positioning, balance control, and sensitivity to motion, helping us identify what’s causing the problem.
Treatment may involve manoeuvres to reposition crystals in the inner ear for conditions like BPPV, as well as a targeted exercise program to improve balance, coordination, and reduce dizziness over time. Our goal is to help you feel steady on your feet, improve your confidence, and get back to doing the things you enjoy without the fear of spinning or falling.
